Thomas Limerick
Alcatraz Connection
Thomas Limerick was killed trying to escape from Alcatraz in 1938, where he was serving a life sentence. He was born in Iowa, and had served prior terms at Anamosa for Larceny and Escape.
After joining a bank robbery gang, and participating in several of them in Iowa, South Dakota, and Nebraska, he was convicted on federal charges and sent to Alcatraz.
